New Zealand Ski and Snowboard Instructor Qualifications
A New Zealand Ski or Snowboard Instructors Qualification is considered to be one of the best in the world. The New Zealand Snowsports Instructor’s Alliance (N.Z.S.I.A.) and Snowboard Instruction New Zealand (S.B.I.N.Z.) are recognised by the International Ski Instructors Association (I.S.I.A.).
New Zealand qualified ski and snowboard instructors are working in countries such as Canada, the U.S.A., Japan, Korea, Australia and in Europe, and of course New Zealand.
The first qualification you will train for is the ski or snowboard Certificate in Snowsports Instruction, or the C.S.I. Snow Trainers students have a 100% pass rate for this exam. This qualifies you to teach beginner and novice students.
The second qualification you will train for is the ski or snowboard Stage One, which qualifies you to teach students up to an intermediate / advanced level. The NZ Stage One is most closely compared to the American P.S.I.A. (ski) or A.A.S.I. (snowboard) Cert II and the Canadian C.A.S.I. Level 2. |
