Surrounding Queenstown are two great New Zealand ski resorts, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. This is where Snow Trainers run their Queenstown training courses and here's why:
Coronet Peak's steeps, bowls and rolling terrain is easily accessible and makes for some of the most fun you can have. With a park and pipe, extensive snowmaking facilities, high speed 4 and 6 person chairlifts and night skiing it's a great place to ski and ride.
The Remakables is renowned for its challenging off piste terrain, great snow quality, and awesome terrain park and super pipe. It's a great place to work on your skiing and riding skills. Our trainers will take you to some of our secret stashes that are sure to blow you away. |
Wanaka
Surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Mt Aspiring National Park and located on beautiful Lake Wanaka, this lively town is a great place to spend a Southern Hemisphere winter.
The easy going lifestyle and friendly atmosphere will make you feel instantly at home. Relax in the afternoon sun on the lakeshore or at one of the many cafes and restaurants in the town centre. If you are more of a night owl then Wanaka also has plenty of bars and pubs where you can party the night away! |
Wanaka Ski Fields
Just a short trip down the Cardrona Valley are Cardrona Alpine Resort and Snow Park, two of New Zealand's most popular resorts.
Cardrona’s fantastic variety of terrain, from its wide open groomers to its steeps and bowls, makes it a fun place to ski and ride and a great place to train.
Cardrona's extensive freestyle terrain which includes 4 half pipes and a massive terrain park makes it a freestyle Mecca for skiers and snowboarders spending a Southern hemisphere winter in New Zealand.
Snow Park is New Zealand's premier freestyle resort, and as the name suggests it is one huge terrain park! With 2 Superpipes, a Quarter Pipe, big kickers, and more than 40 rails, hits and jumps, Snow Park can satisfy all your freestyle needs. If you are new to freestyle then the "Progressions Park" is there to help you progress from beginner to pro in no time!
Snow Park is also home to the Burton Open and has featured in several international ski and snowboard magazines and countless dvd's. |
