NZ Ski Qualifications

The New Zealand Snowsports Instructors Alliance (NZSIA) Stage One Ski Qualification is highly regarded world wide, with many qualified instructors working in Canada, the USA, and Europe as well as in New Zealand.

The Stage One Examination Process is held over 8 days, a 6 day pre-course and 2 day exam. The pre-course and exam is conducted by the NZSIA and is independent of NZ Ski Training.

Exam candidates will be assessed on:

Skiing ability
Demonstrations
Video Analysis
Teaching Presentation

Our program ensures that our participants are fully prepared to the best of their ability for the examination process.

The NZSIA Stage One qualification allows you to instruct to an intermediate level including basic freestyle (similar to a AASI or CASI level 2). The next level is the NZSIA Stage Two, a full certification to instruct all ability levels.

Please email us if you have any questions about the exam or certification process.
