New Zealand is an exciting and beautiful country where the people are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. New Zealand's South Island has some fantastic snowboarding terrain on the mountains surrounding Queenstown, and the Southern Lakes District has some of the best heliboarding in the world. The excellent exchange rate makes New Zealand one of the most inexpensive places to go snowboarding and a great place to spend a Southern Hemisphere winter. Queenstown is known as the "adventure capital of the world." Not only is it the home of Bungy Jumping, there is also a vast array of adventure sports and activities such as jet boating, paragliding, white water rafting, hiking, sky diving, and mountain biking. Located on Lake Wakatipu and surrounded by the Southern Alps, Queenstown's scenery is awesome. From here you can easily travel to Milford Sound, surf the East Coast, or hike the Glaciers and rain forests on the amazing West Coast. Queenstown Nightlife is action packed, with more than 100 busy cafes, restaurants and bars within walking distance from your accommodation, It's very easy to grab a meal, a few quiet beers or party hard until the sun comes up.
